CONCEPT

This project emerges from idea of spectacle, and how people alone, can create a narrative in an open and public space just like they would in a play. Applying the concepts and ideals o non-conventional theater or “Epic Theater”. By bringing  a fairly flat and populated plaza, this project introduces the idea of “elevating stages”. By fragmenting the existing plaza’s configuration I am promoting a topographical reconfiguration. Where the user can take advantage of the sloped and curved ramps to become the architect of their own path. In other words, an eccentric scenario of spaces is created, where the user is both spectator and performer at the same time.
