《吃面》was originally written in simplified chinese. the comic was formatted to be read forward (left to right) in its english translation or backward (right to left) in chinese. it illustrates a memory remembered by my mother: of my brother and i as oblivious american strangers in our own "homeland" of china. the book was handbound with glue and the cover was silkscreened by hand.
