WMD
"WMD" is my masters thesis film that runs approximately 17 minutes in length.  It was shot using a RED One Mysterium-X camera during a 6 day film shoot. I acted as writer/director/sound designer on the project.

Synopsis:
Alone in the Iraqi marshlands, Private Walters gets in over his head with a trigger-happy, WMD-seeking Sergeant and his bewildered POW. Walters must find a way to outwit the Sergeant and get back to base before Sarge drags them all into his suicide mission to win the war for America. Guns blazing, side by side, the three are forced to fight together and fight each other when they find out who the real enemy is.

The overall tone of this film is a satirical in the same fashion as "Dr. Strangelove" or "Catch-22."  This project initially started as a 10 minute play I wrote back in 2008 about two tank drivers in Nazi-Occupied France in 1944.  I then developed it into a story taking place in Iraq in 2009.  Due to the nature of Florida not looking much like Iraq I did research and learned more about the marshland regions of Iraq and how similar they look to the gulf marshlands in Florida.  Shooting in the marshes were extremely difficult to coordinate but somehow we got the film made with almost no need for pickups or reshoots.

Selected for screening at Wordfest-Houston International Film Festival, Phoenix Comicon Film Festival, and Red Movie House.

Due to this film being in the festival circuit I am unable to post the video publicly online.  If you wish to view the film contact me and I will send you a link.
