The Real Raspberry
Because somebody needed a giant raspberry
Because somebody needed a giant raspberry
This stuffed raspberry was made on commission in May 2012 for a friend. It was the first time I made a raspberry, but I'm not unaccustomed to complicated pieces. Each vesicle was hand-sewn, then sewn onto the main body of the piece. Only the interior body and leaf cap were machine-sewn. It took a really long time. I used dark red faux fur I bought at a textile museum sale. I thought the texture was appropriate for a piece that was both a pillow and a raspberry.
