Path of Development
Phase 1—Sketching
• The initial figure was sketched on paper with pencil until it was refined enough for Phase 2.
• This phase is still kept rough enough that I could make any kind of major changes later as needed.
Phase 2—Line Art
• The drawing was then scanned into Adobe Illustrator and drawn over on a new layer.
• This step allowed me to flesh out the original sketch with more detail thanks to working at a larger size.
Phase 3—Full Color & Shading
• I moved the vector art to Photoshop and experimented with background elements and color.
• After deciding on the color scheme, I used tone shading to compliment the rougher line art.
