STIPPLING A GALAXY

| STIPPLING A GALAXY
      A Twenty-Four Hour Exercise
This 6' by 6' drawing was composed in a single 24 hour sitting and is composed of over 500,000 individual sharpie dots. Under the instruction of Jarrett Davis at the Massachusetts College of Art and Design, the 24 hour drawing is a meditative test of willpower and endurance. Students are tasked with completing a single 6' by 6' illustration, using any medium or technique, but they were required to work on a single piece for the entire sitting. This piece was accomplished through 24 hours of stippling in the form of a galaxy.
