Back in 2008 I was asked to make something for a musicians project. This is back when Myspace still was the dominate social platform. They (he) wanted something to just put in the background and wanted me to customize his layout to fit whatever creation I came up with. I guess I took it to serious. Ever since making it for him I never felt 100% satisfied with what I made and moreover after I made it I was very dissatisfied with the theater it was utilized in. I felt it needed to be used for something with greater purpose. I tried several brands with it, but the brands never fit the nature of the imagery that I made, then I decided to try it out with my music blog's brand, Ohio Noise (aka: Oh!No!), and with the right type treatment it all fell into place. Fast forward to 2012 and with advent of gimmicky apps making all kinds of over-used effects Photoshop keyed in on something really cool that was missing from their software and that was photo-real depth of field blurring. With their new blur controls in CS6 I was able to fill in and finish my Ohio Noise graphic piece. I hope you enjoy it as it it took 4 years to make!
