This is my first Computer Graphics Mid-Project. The brief is basically to Create vector artwork for a magazine cover using Illustrator, applying techniques such as image tracing, pattern making, colour blending, and typography. You as the designers will select the colors and images and arrange the layout to appeal to the intended magazine target audience.
I chose an advertising theme for the magazine that i make because I think that magazine connects to advertising. the person / role model that i use is David Ogilvy. David was a pioneer of advertising. I think that he was one of the best advertisers in the advertising world.
In illustrator, we are only allowed to use pen tool, masthead, and barcode for the magazine. Live trace is not allowed by university. This project was printed at art paper, A4 size, mounted on A4 board. Some techniques such as putting shadow in the magazine is also important. This is to make the picture more 3-Dimensional.

My mood board is all about ogilvy. Since i researched about him, means he is the main topic for my mood board. I even use the rolls royce ad made by ogilvy in my mood board. This is one of Ogilvy's pioneer creation.
