GALEGAS 7, reading sessions
The session #1 of GALEGAS SETE, held in Lisbon in October 2015 (Travessa da Ribeira Nova), was dedicated to the great Sarah Kane with readings by Patrícia Baltazar (poet) and Júlio Mesquita (actor). I draw the illustration and poster/flyer with inspiration from pictures and writings of the author (Sarah) and also of the reader (Patrícia) combined in one picture.
This time, me and Virna Teixeira (poet/publisher) were invited to do the readings, chosing texts from Antonin Artaud including "Van Gogh, The Man Suicided by Society". The inspiration for the poster was a set of pictures of Artaud and also Van Gogh's self-portraits.
