The smell and sounds of fire connect different people. Fire helps refine food helping create different flavours. It also builds a strong identity in diverse cultures. Street food is inexpensive and most of it is finger food. Images that ignite my brain when
thinking about street food are fat cooks, bunny chow, braai meat and mealies. This is said because as a young creative studying in Durban my friends and I have and share street food most of the time. Flavours of food and fire help us share our different cultural backgrounds and vibes. Making us and unite create memories and history.
