Lumina: Carl Sagan Typography

Typography inspired on the astronomer, cosmologist and science communicator, Carl Sagan.

This project is about a college exercise where we had to develop an event in honor of a famous person, in this case Carl Sagan, who I really admire. Also we had to design the event in itself, its campaing and all matter relating to its development in real life, all this with only a typographical image.
"We are made of star-stuff"
The event consist on a science camping, where the participants can have a great experience enjoying of different talks and workshops about several Carl Sagan's theories. Also people can have the opportunity to camp and see the stars with telescopes at this rural place where the event is developing.
The greatest passion of Carl Sagan was the stars, how we all came from them. For these reason I decide to conceptualize the typography on this topic, building it like a constelation, points connected with lines, and with extensible termination than make it changeable and mutable like the universe.
Make questions and you'll discover incredible things.
The event came with a kit for each participant, that will help to enjoy all the experience. It includes a notebook with its pen, a thermo, a lantern with red light to help to see on the darkness without dazzled and see the stars more easily, a piece of dark chocolate to keep the energy and three postal-books as a souvenir.
Dark chocolate, to improve your vision.
"The cosmos is within us. We are made of star-stuff.
We are a way for the universe to know itself"
"The travel begins, come with me"
