The publication ‘Dead Pets’ is a document describing the processes of grief when encountering the death of a pet. We have developed a number of rituals when dealing with death, we feel there is a need to preserve the memory of an animal when they have passed. ‘Dead Pets’ describes the different companies that thrive off the grief of pet owners. The fact that these companies exist and make profit through death thoroughly demonstrates the strong connection we have to our pets. The aim of the book is to engage pet lovers with the obsessive methods available when their pet has passed. Not neccesserily to promote these companies but simply to inform the audience of their demand. It communicates how customers of these increasingly absurd organizations devote an extensive amount of time and money to their pets. I wanted readers to realise the superiority over animals we have as human, the information described in the book would be socially unacceptable when applied to a human.
