And this is as good an explanation as any for the video “Interchangeable City Surface Modules of Detroit and Stockholm”. This video is not a logical explication of the spatial world. It is a proposition (that Detroit and Stockholm can be merged by collapsing their locations, morphologies, and semiotic systems.) It uses methods of practice-as-research (an analytic and heuristic practice during the process of making) to explore and test ideas and hypotheses of language, space, and place.
