Cellular technologies are already playing an important role in the connected vehicle with telematics and connected infotainment. And now, as part of 3GPP Release 14 on the path to 5G, Qualcomm is introducing new C-V2X technologies that will deliver a unified, more capable V2X platform for the always-connected, autonomous vehicle of the future.
10 million cars are expected to be equipped with this technology by 2020. GM and Ford are among the first automakers with plans to implement this technology into their future cars.
