“American Wood Type” is a short, animated infographic that concentrates on the printmaking practice in its prosperous era, the 19th century, but also extends into the present and connects the study of type and its history to color theory. An original typeface has been designed and produced in conjunction with the project to further honor the art and craft of chromatic wood type.
