Medal is a system designed to facilitate the education of slow learning individuals or with a mental disability. The name Medal is an acronym for the complete name in Spanish that means: “Method of Individual Education”. We proposed this naming once we understood that the system allows each student to advance at his own rhythm, so this is not just about special education but an individual approach.
Our branding concept is based on the foundations of Medal: bold and simple stimulation, bright colors and basic geometrical figures. The selection of typography for the wordmark, and the fact that we only use lowercase is because that’s the way in which Medal teaches how to read and write, leaving capital letters and script typography for a future step.
