MCAST OUTDOOR MATERIALS SHELTER SEATING
The administration of MCAST Art and Design wanted to refurbish Block D by introducing shelter and seating in the area.
The most suggested material for this implementation was wood and pallets were the ideal source for this task. Dismantling pallets offers enough wood to create two canopies of solid wood structure. The seating and shelving for planting are made using screwing as joinery. Pots used for recycling purposes and more planting are made out of limestone.
The canopies will offer students shelter from warm seasons and seating can be useful when students are waiting for their lecturers. They are also used for leisure and study purposes for example group works. The classrooms are repainted with a feature wall and the seating is organized to gain more space.
