Florence Trip

To start off with, a previous trip I took to florence in February, was a very educational experience. Florence itself has 90% of the worlds art and it was so beautiful. I went for 5 days with the college and it was such an experience, i fell in love with the art, the architecture and the people. This trip is such a good starting point for my more focused research as it has depth, I have primary resources, first hand experience of art and emotions and visuals attached to the place. I will review the Uffizzi Gallery as it was an amazing art gallery and I thought it was one of the best I’ve been to, Housing my favourite art piece to date which I will also review.

What I liked the best about florence was the architecture and the way I felt like i had been taken back in time whilst still viewing modernisation within the space. centuries merge within a confined area and it makes beautiful scenery. It also encourages me somewhat to create based on emotion swell as memory, as that can be very powerful in a piece.

I would also like to re work some of the photos from this trip as they are unedited at the moment due to lack of relevance to work before hand. I have included these to give an idea of the raw image and a feel of the area. I realise most of my photography from this trip was of the buildings. I will analyse the shots I liked once I start re-working them.

From this trip I learnt that presentation is essential and it is definitely something I will explore later in the project once my idea is more finalised.
