Punk Photo Manipulation

This two are images taken from an assignment I did in University. The assignment was to take a period of time, British punk 1979, and create images and manipulate images to create images that reflect this period. This was done after extensive research into to this time period.

The first image shows a group of people hanging out in a run down flat. The people in the photo are members of well known punk bands and people who were in an around the punk movement at the time. I put myself in this image to see what it would be like to live during that time.

The next image I quite liked from the ones created for my assignment was the one below. This one shows two men kicking shop windows. Surprisingly they are both during riots, but at different time periods. The one on the left is from the eighties and the one on the right is from the riots in London 2010. I also put a slogan/banner from both riots in the opposite image (1980 banner - 2010 picture and vice versa) It is quite surprising to find that not much has changed since the 1980, people still riot and abuse public property.

The next image is using masks in Photoshop. This image shows my cat jumping from a real life photograph, taken by me, in to a sketch, drawn by me. This was an exercise for our class in order to decorate our room with things that interest us.
