The screenshot below is a picture of the results I got from a little experiment to see if we could tell the difference between certain sounds. We started off with one sound and played a second one after it which either was the same or different, then the person listening to the sounds puts down whether they thought it sounded the same as the initial tone. And as you can see from the results we can tell some apart but not others.
