In scope of the design, a display window and interior store design were carried out for exhibition and sale of products which are belonging to different brands. It was inspired by traditional Italian squares and courtyards as the reflection of Italian culture. There are huge squares and narrow streets that open to the squares as I saw that while I was visiting Italy. The sensation of the squares can be seen in Italian houses frequently as well. The huge courtyards which are located in the houses and the doors that open to the courtyards, reflect the architectural style.

 

In the design, courtyards, fountains, and louvered windows are used as the inspiration sources. The interior store design was realised for exhibition of the products that are from different brands as though the windows of the rooms open to a courtyard. A magnificent entrance door was designed to represent the gorgeous doors of the buildings in Italy. After all, the big lights were used near side of the entrance door as the items for the window display.

 

When the inspiration sources and creating design were taken into the consideration, “Cortile” which means “Courtyard” in Italian, was given as a name for the store.
