The second book in Peter Kendell's Glory series, "Guiding Star of Glory" takes place ten years after the events of "Tides of Glory" and features Annie's now grown brother, Emmy, who must investigate the mystery behind her disappearance. As an aeronautical engineer, much of the action shifts from sailing vessels of the water to sailing vessels of the stars. We did a lot of designs of both the on-planet vessels, described as a cross between a hovercraft and zeppilin.

The people of Glory have started worshipping the AI of the spacecraft that brought them to the New World, and I very much enjoyed designing the religious symbol of the "cupped hand" for the cultists.
