Tasked to design and make any functional piece, using traditional construction and techniques.
Our group, consisting of Daphne Cheng, Lee May Ee, Teh Xia Yin and me.
. . . . . . . . . .
The goal was to create a piece that could easily be part of a space, naturally blending into the environment.
Conceptualising using simple geometric shapes and imaging the gentle flow of curves moving out from the wall.
Interplay of shapes with a seemingly circular flow of curves and the subtle dynamic change thickness.
The final outcome is a wall piece that serves as both a hanger and a shelve.
We envision this to be placed near the hallway towards the door.
Dress and undress before heading out, and lose the hassle of getting ready in a heavy coat.
Never forget your important items like keys and your wallet.
Designed with flexibilities for users shift the wooden knobs at different height and position.
