Patterns made as a part of the project Lighten-up! - to emphazise and represent the continents of the world.
I have constructed the patterns with the inspiration coming from the research of each continent. In the research I was looking at food in different shapes, how food are used, sold and eaten, culture of the peolpe and historical fabric and art patterns.
As a part of Lighten-up! I have been trying to take all aspects of the research into consideration and to make them clear, for people to be able to guess the continents.
