Kiewit Corporate Communications

2014-2016 Demo Reel containing a variety of different types of projects I worked on from Christmas cards, to Annual Meeting presentations.
Programs used include Adobe's Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, Audition, and Speed Grade.
Also Element 3D and Cinema 4D for 3D elements.
This video was used for attracting new employees online and at recruiting fairs.
I made the 3D Kiewit logo and recorded the metal sound effects myself.
Once the theme graphics for the 2015 Annual Meeting were made, it was my job to animate them and
create video elements such as Lower Thirds, Transitions, Animated Logo, and other elements.
These were distributed to others in the company to use to create a sense of continuity and consistancy in their video presentations.

The 2016 Annual Meeting was faced with extreme budget cuts. The idea behind the theme was to get back to the roots of the company. A lot of historical elements were used in the printed graphics. Once again, after the theme graphics were decided, they were handed off to me for animation. This was an interesting challenge because I had a lot less to work with and a much shorter time table. I was asked to create only the Lower Thirds, Transition, and Animated Logo
I was asked to create a spoof of VH1's "Behind the Music" pertaining to employeed who've recieved the company's Peter Kiewit Award.
I hired a professional voice actor and commisioned a local musician for the title music.
This was presented at the company's 2015 Annual Meeting.
An example of how we went about sharing updates or training videos.
I created a standardized template to be used on all videos needing lower thirds, as seen in this video.
This was a Kiewit recruiting booth for a tradeshow in Singapore.
I was tasked with creating videos for a 13'x16' LED Wall, 3'x10' LED Sign,
32" vertical tv screen, and an "animated wallpaper" for the closed off meeting room inside the booth.
Here's a photo of the booth in action.
I was told by those working at the booth in Singapore, my work was very impressive and attracted a lot of attention.
2014 Christmas card - For the previous year, the Corp Comm team used a very expensive service that simply injected submitted photos and logo into a pre-made flash template. For the 2014 card, I was asked if I could make a better one in house. I accepted the challenge and between me and our in-house web developers, we saved the company over $1,000 on their Christmas Card budget. This was e-mailed to every employee in the company.
2015 Christmas card - This was emailed to every employee in the company.
Comments from the previous year's e-card mentioned an e-card being less personal than the old Christmas cards that were printed and mailed out.
In response to this, I asked the CEO for a handwritten note which I scanned in for the last slide.
This ended up being the most veiwed video on the company's internal network for the entire year of 2015.
This was a funny advertisment promoting our in-house web developers. It was made to look like a really bad infomercial - complete with Comic Sans font and sparkles.
After presenting this online and at our summit meeting, our web team quickly gained a measurable increase in development.
