A Not-so-ancient Approach On Ancient 
I was appointed by a Ph.D. candidate to illustrate some greek ancient columns. The aim was to make them more friendly to the young viewers, especially kids, thus making the interpretation easier. The first approach was bold - in color and style - and was very easily rejected. The second however was right on spot. Illustrations are similar to the originals, yet look quite "fresh". In addition, I limited the color pallet down to a few earthly tones, similar to the original colors of the columns.

Additionally I created all separate items to use with a specific software that allows the kids to create their own column, with heroes and other figures, decorations and names.
