Mostly Mozart Festival

For this final project we were asked to create promotional pieces for the upcoming Mostly Mozart Festival using unity, balance, and rhythm to envoke an effective message. For my first advertisment i used a more asymmetrical design to garner that effect. I made use of different sized pictures and fonts in order to keep the eye flowing over the entire piece. The picture of Beethoven is the largest one so it draws the eye, which then moves over towards the smaller picture of Beethoven where there is information about the festival and the orcestra. The silouette of the orchestra behind the main title is to make it pop and to help set an easy mood for this piece. Along with the musical notes and chords the piece has a nice sense of rhythm to it.
For this next piece i focused more on the symmetry and balance of the ad. the large white silouette of the cello against the vibrant red background creates great contrast and is key in dividing the two side thus creating the desired balance. Along with the cleft notes in the background and large white rounded rectangles on either side framing the cello, it gives the piece a sense of wonderment and awe as you look upon it, drawing you in.
