The Undiscovered Country: Moly the six-year old Molar
A publication visiting the Death of a Tooth. How a tooth starts and grows to be a perfect tooth, to how it starts to deteriorate. Moly is a molar tooth. A molar would be the sixth tooth from the middle- hence the number 26 on the front of the publication. Moly’s other name is the “6-year molar” because that is normally the age it starts to erupt. A flipbook of the ten stages of the molar tooth’s decay with the word overlayed saying “OUCH”. The publication talks about Moly’s life: when he was born until he was murdered. Publication is made out of three different sized books, representing how the tooth grows. Colour palette made out of the unique porcelain colours that get painted onto new artificial teeth which is made by the Dental Technician and the creamy colour represents the enamel of a tooth.
