Marquetry panel made of shopsawn veneers - final dimensions 40" wide by 67" tall. All marquetry done with a Hegner scrollsaw with a 22" throat, so design had to allow for ways to cut 40" long veneers into smaller units.
First 3 photos show assembly of veneer pieces into one unit. Seems are glued and masking tape used to apply clamping pressure. I later removed the masking tape before gluing veneer to door using a vacuum press and Unibond glue.
Fourth pic is after first coat of oil/wax finish.
Then some detail pics just for fun. Leaves are of bloodwood and carob, with hot sand-shading to create the shadows.
