I’ve always been fascinated with the intricacies of the NYC subway tunnels and lines. I love how many unique stations there are and I’ve always loved the different color-coded lines. In honor of this, I designed these typographic subway posters which lay out each train’s route with typography, and are color-coded to each line. I used singular background colors with condensed, bold, yet sans-serif Helvetica type because I wanted the posters to feel both modern and retro at the same time, something that the NYC subway manages to achieve very well.
