Tapestries consist of two different types of threads: warp and weft. One is thicker that is mostly unseen, and one is thinner and creates the pattern. The thinner lines in the Housing Works events diagrams represent the connections through categories, while the thicker lines represent what the organization is working towards. The color coding provides insight into the target audience, space needed, and size of crowds. Similar to the tapestry's complex construction, Housing Works consists of weaving in that there are layers of connections that weave the entire plethora of events into one organization working towards one cause.
