Early on in the concept stage, I created this concept illustration of a closed-loop greenhouse restaurant, and that actually inspired the rest of the project. This could be an "after" shot of the revitalization.
This is a really early schematic from the project, when we were doing analogical concept grids. This grid was the most inspirational for the project. I derived the adaptive forms from the meditation ball and from the malleability of wax. The slow, fungus-style growth pattern idea came to me from beehives and oysters.
