"Ethos" Postcards

This was a university project wherein we had to represent our identities as designers through the graphic design of four postcards, with the only allowed content being "a past project we were proud of". The postcards were accompanied by an ethos statement, which was the "message" of the postcards.

I wanted to showcase my craftswomanship (the paper is handmade), my communicative illustration skill, as well as the original project (custom mask-crafting for a stage production), but also my journey as a designer from a fine arts background.

I wanted the postcards to feel like my transition from an artist to a craftswoman to a designer and back again.
Hand-drawn illustrations were scanned and then digitally printed with errors onto very textured handmade paper. Hand-sculpted masks were digitally photographed, and then printed with the same technique. A hand-drawn postcard layout was printed and then written on by hand.
