To celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Museum of Contemporary Photography, the museum had an extra special celebration at Morgan Manufacturing, a pre-Chicago Fire industrial event space. Keeping with the theme of the evening, the invitation suite was designed to give the recipient the feeling of the experience that they would have the evening of the event: classy high-end but in an industrial, inviting, and warm environment. The Darkroom Gala saw their highest return of RSVPs from the invitation and was the biggest fundraising success in the history of the museum with over $200,000 in contributions.
