Commissioned work for a T-shirt, celebrating the computer groups 30:th year in game production over a various set of machines. The admission was to have a woman playing games, whilst the references (from the legacy) was going on in the background.

I was quite conscious about the choice not to have the female figurine exposed, still thinking about some kind of eroticism as she played. I left some figures hiding her chastity in a quite funny way. And I made her left-handed. The original Tac-II joystick is way out of proportions though.
Just like in Astrid Lindgrens book about Pippi, I couldn't help myself letting her friend the monkey be close at hand (from a game in this case). The games seen surrounding is from actual releases during the years, tried to pack as many as possible in there, even though I missed many. The logo got its very 1989-kind of look, with rasterbars and blocky characters to empathize the general feeling of depth and time (no fake retro here).
Workstages and the final printed result.
