When my little brother informed me that he bought a queen sized bed, i asked him what kind of headboard he got. I wasn't surprised to hear that he couldn't find one that he liked, so i offered to make him one. Then when I was assigned a large scale final project in my Visual and Plastic exploratory studio class, I decided to morph the two projects into one.
This project was a learning experience; never having taken wood shop in high school, I needed to learn all I could about designing, constructing, and completing a fabricated item. I learned a lot and had fun in the process.
