This was part of my semester abroad at Augsburg University of Applied Sciences, Germany.
As part of a print workshop class, we had to respond to a story and poems through any means of print. My responses are based on Maya Angelou's book 'I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings' and a collection of poems named 'And Still I Rise'.
I have made these by printing lino and digitally editing them, creating layered prints. The larger, square framed prints are responses to the book, and the smaller prints are responses to poems by Maya Angelou, with a verse of the poem beside the print.
