For thousands of years, the Amazonian rainforest of Ecuador has been home to the Huaorani People. They had no contact with the outside world until 1956. Huaorani are outstanding hunters and are considered to be feared warriors. Their culture and the forest which they consider to be their home are constantly threatened by oil companies and illegal logging. The project serves to capture the tribe's transition to a more modern lifestyle. I was fortunate enough to photograph some of these amazing people who lead extraordinary lives.
