SINCE JOINING THE UNITED STATES ARMY IN 2006, I ALWAYS WANTED TO CREATE THIS CAMPAIGN.
The skulls and the cross-bones on the tee-shirts didn't do it for me. I wanted something that was more dignified and showed that soldiers actually had brains and were not a bunch of war-monging kids who wanted to kill everyone who didn't look like them. I wanted a shirt that read "Freedom's On Me" in the front, and "The American Soldier" in the back.
When the Army Strong Campaign came out I was in Basic Training in Fort Jackson and they called us all into a conference hall to present it to all the new recruits. For me it looked a little dated. I understand that there is a lot of pressure from different people involoved from the Government who must be pacified and the customer sometimes gets in the way. But we live in a very different time in this new "Information Age" and Social Media has exploded even more since 2006. This gallery has been created in hopes to find a position with an advertisement agency who is working with the U.S. Army.
