Project 01 - Light Bulb

A few problems with light bulbs that I noted were that there was no notification on when a light was about to burn out, no synchronization for multiple light bulbs in one fixture, no indication of wattage usage or brightness and no ability to change hue for different moods. All of which needed to be presented in a manner that was easy and very accessible to the average consumer.
I came up with an app that could be downloaded and used for free by consumers. The app will include a scan aspect to scan the barcode of the light bulb being put into a fixture or to be used, the ability to group and synchronize bulbs into rooms of the household, the ability to add bulbs as needed, a preset menu for saved specs for moods or times of day, etc. This image would be the home page once the user has logged in.
Login screen, home page, and the break down of a room. The break down of grouped bulbs in a room will look like the above third image with the card based interface. When a card is clicked, it will flip over to show the specs of that bulb as seen in the first square. It will show a bar indicating the wattage usage (a warning will show for low wattage), a slider to adjust brightness, a drop down for hue options, a notes section for personal use, and a shopping cart that will allow for the user to buy the same bulb used in order to replace which is something that will be saved when the user scans the barcode upon entry.
