OBJECTIVE:
Redesign an enclosed space for a healing garden at a hospital in Fontana, CA.

RESPONSE:
I chose to create an environment where the healing is done by the artificial and not naturel.  Inspired by artificial hearts, hips, bones, lungs, eyes, ears, faces etc.

INDIVIDUAL ELEMENTS:
1. The ground floor is made from all-weather running track. Reduce of injury from falls, safe for kids to play, and stable for rehabilitation. The floor is one uninterrupted surface that covers rocks, chairs, and the tables.
2. The towers have a sunlight retrieval system at the top and bring in actual sunlight via fiber optic cables to the first floor.
3.The water feature is a digital koi pond.
4. Plant life was designed in a vertical and horizontal manner to encourage the spread of insects and birds. All plant life is used by either native butterflies or birds.
