ScaleLab Rebranding

During my time at ScaleLab, I initiated a creative overhaul of the company’s brand. I developed several proposals based on what the company had already accomplished and what might be next as it grows. Once a proposal was accepted, I worked with the development team to implement new stock photography, typefaces, and colors to the website.

The young company had a logo mark established, but not much else in the way of branding. Color and the shape of the logo were the first issues to tackle. I began incorporating more vibrant blues to modernize the mark and tie it directly to the world of screens and digital media.

I didn’t want to change the shape of the atom mark, since it has been the company’s identifier from the beginning. I did want to pull away from a more literal atom feel and take the mark to a more metaphorical place. The mark of the right is more solid and “scaleable.”
Once the mark and colors were established, I developed a very simple branding standards for the company to use moving forward. This included typefaces, photo treatments, and some in-house printing needs like business cards.
