This shoulder piece was inspired by the destruction of the coral reefs. The shape of the piece was made to resemble armor as if to provide protection to the coral. Copper sheet was formed into tubes and soldered onto a baseplate, and then each piece of tubing was filled in with resin. When coral dies, it turns white so the color of resin transitions from colorful to white.
