Pocket Katie at Comic-Con
Breaking through the pop culture noise that is San Diego Comic-Con is not for the lighthearted. With less than two weeks until showtime, we created a marketing campaign aimed at garnering awareness for a Steampunk-themed digital motion comic called Katie Greaven and the Engine-Men. Instead of a costumed character, we created a "pocket" version of the story's protagonist, a teenage girl, Katie Greaven. With a complete character takeover of the company's Facebook Page, the "voice" of the character took online fans on the adventure of Katie's first "trip" to Comic-Con. Fans at Comic-Con were encouraged to pick-up a Pocket Katie at the convention hall and upload photos of their adventures with Katie. We ran this campaign simultaneously with the Sundown 'Where's Krait?' campaign in San Diego.
