For this project I was given the video in advance and asked to narrate the video. Since the video was already created I completed the whole project in GarageBand adding narration, bacground music, and sound effects to give life to the silent video.
I recorded the narration with background sounds in Apple's GarageBand. To create a mulitlayered audio track required me to comp each track to decrease the audio of some files while increasing the audio of other files. I choose to do this to help keep the audience, parents, children, and history buffs engaged.
This screenshot shows how I added a background soundtrack as well as cleaning up the sound of both the narration and background music to give it more presence.
This screenshot shows how I added and matched narration and background music to the video using comping. The bottom part with the wave is a visual of the equalizer or EQ as I mastered the sound for the completed soundtrack.
