In between client projects I taught two sections of Motion Graphics classes at Miami Ad School New York to aspiring ad agency Art Directors. The ten week class was a mix of industry theory and practical assignments and projects that provided them hands-on time in After Effects. Part of my preparation for each week's class was to create a short animation based on the practical portion of the class.
Below you will find those animations, with the exception of "Week 07" (that one got away from me), in the order that they were done. In general I wanted to keep things centered around New York and early on took elements from the previous week's animation to include them in that week's animation.
Along the way there was also playing with color palettes, the tools inside of After Effects to be discussed in class and making project files available to my students.
