Danish design is world renowned for its iconic chairs. Working within the comforts of the welfare state and peaceful environment, Danish designers had the privilege of focusing on functionality, convenience, domestic concerns and satisfying the well being of the individual.

Danish design cannot overlook current global crises, and the influx of refugees into Europe. This evokes moral and political questions about the various attitudes and points of view regarding these people, who are looking for a better life in Denmark.

TAKE A SEAT wish to bring forth these questions and offer subjective answers, incorporating the political and the aesthetic, and binding them together under the common figure of speech "take a seat".
