For this project I had to choose an image from images I was provided and design a magazine nameplate and cover around that image. I was able to change the image however I would like to, but the nameplate had to be designed strictly in inDesign.
Due to the image being a size that wouldnt particular fit an 8.5 x 11 magazine cover I decided to mask around him and make my own background. This is the only work I did outside of inDesign. I used photoshop for this portion of the project.
I wanted my nameplate to be text driven. I also wanted this to be a rock n roll magazine, so I decided to use the "Big Brother" and "Century Gothic" fonts in unison to create my nameplate. I decided to name them magazine Rocker Red Magazine. I made the work rocker big and along side it I stacked the Red in red, and magazine in white. Once I gathered this together I stacked the phrase "Inside Rock N Roll" on top of the nameplate to help further the purpose of the magazine.
