Why the Orchid?
These flowers have many different meaning relate to their color, anyway the orchid had the particularity to mean purity and passion at the same time. So it looked perfect with the composition of this illustration.
Why the snakes?
Snake, is one of the oldest and most widespread mythological symbols. Among his many means the few I like most and I want use in this artwork were the ambiguity, sexual desire, eternity and continual renewal of life, in balance with the Orchids meaning.
