For this self initiated project, I designed a cocktail dress. I hand painted the cloth and cut out the textile used on the upper portion of the dress. My inspiration for these textiles came from shadows during a sunset. I wanted both the colors and fabric choice to reflect this decision so I used cotton and vinyl.  This was an interesting deviation from my normal 2D work and challenged me to really think about the human form as a part of the design process.
